Change Thought, Purpose and Direction

So here we are in session 10, and it’s becoming a bit of a journey, without a doubt, it’s super cool to be doing this and to be thinking about how life is changing for you. But in this session number 10, we want to go into really taking charge of our thoughts and the direction we want them to go into.

We want to be really starting to manage our thoughts, rather than just getting loads and loads of thoughts coming in and either suffering overwhelm or negativity. This is what a brain where the subconscious mind is really in the ascendancy, and it’s in the ascendancy on an unconscious basis. That means that we’re not directing it in any way. We haven’t got any direction to direct it to. So it doesn’t know what to do. It just flies around like a complete crazy person, and it often is sitting there going, Oh, that person’s doing this, and I hate that person, and this that very negative, because it’s like anything.

If you just sit there all day long, you don’t have any purpose and direction. It’s just going to get very irritating. It’s just over the years. It’s just going to be one layer upon layer of no direction and no purpose. This is where meaning, purpose and destiny comes from without meaning in your life, purpose in your life, and a sense of destiny, your brain’s just on idle. It’s on tick over. It’s not being expressed, and basically it’s going to fuck up.

If you take an engine and you don’t put load on it, especially a diesel engine, then it ultimately wears itself down. Wears itself out. It needs load to perform, and your brain is exactly the same. But to do that, you’ve got to start to learn to manage your thoughts. This also means managing your emotions, and that is a process you’re not taught at school.

In fact, you just get chucked out into the world and say, Okay, go and do this job, and you end up in something called convergent thinking, which is left brain, and that’s very, very restrictive, always going to a dead end. And you don’t get to manage your thoughts very well, because ultimately, when you run out of thoughts, you go to somebody else who knows more than you, and you say, could you give me a thought that would answer this problem. So you’re constantly having to go to other people to be able to do that, and information becomes the most important thing in your life, rather than creativity.

And if it’s information, then you get stuck on facts. And the only thing that you really justify in your own mind is that you want to be have a better memory, and you do yourself an injustice, because you can’t remember people’s names and you can’t remember this fact or that fact. But in fact, your brain is not working to your benefit, because you have been asleep at the wheel all these years.

You’ve been basically psychologically lobotomized, and you’ve been asleep, but then the car, the autopilot is on doing its thing, not knowing what direction, because you haven’t even put it into the control. So you need to start to look at your thoughts and start to get them to be progressive, okay, but that needs a destination.

You’ve got to decide what that destination is, and you’ve got to want to go there, like if I want to drive in England from, let’s say, London, to Manchester, and I, you know, that’s my intention. And then I go halfway, you know, halfway along the road. I go, Oh, there’s something over there. And then a bit further I go, something over there. I’m never going to get to my destination.

After a while, I’m going to forget what the destination I wanted to go to was my mind and everything is just not it’s not going to get anything. It’s not going to achieve anything. So what we’ve got to first off, decide is where you want to go. What destination Do you want to get to? And in this case, we want to be the B person having a good life. We’ve got to develop the characteristics of that B person so then they can use them in the life.

The characteristics aren’t the life itself. They’re just the tools necessary to create and become the architect of a better life. So very important for you to start to take a strong responsibility for the destination you want to go to and the thoughts that are going to get you there, rather than just drifting off all over the place and having loads of contradiction do.
